Author Visits

Bring the fresh perspectives of a working writer to your students by inviting author Susan Nadathur to your school. Susan writes multicultural fiction with a supernatural world view for teens and young adults. A self-proclaimed misfit from Connecticut, Susan is now a full-time writer residing in Lajas, Puerto Rico. The author shares her joy of writing with students in multimedia presentations full of visual props, music, and dynamic images that spark audience participation and discussion.

Her favorite topic? Celebrating Differences “In diversity there is beauty and strength.” Maya Angelou

Other topics may include:

  • how the author first began to write through the positive influence of school and teachers
  • The importance of creativity and imagination in all aspects of life
  • The process of writing, and more importantly, rewriting.
  • Where ideas come from, using some of the author’s own stories as examples
  • The concept of books as therapy as an effective tool to wellness in a hurting society
